Get your needles out
Tomorrow, Saturday June 11, is Worldwide Knit in Public Day - time to get your needles out in front of the world!
Shown here is one of Allaboutyou's own public knitting sessions, which we enjoyed a couple of years ago in honour of the big day. Reactions of passing people included curiosity, enthusiasm and bewilderment - but it put a smile on a lot of people's faces (including ours).
So get together some friends and head for, ooh, anywhere really. Your local pub, the park (weather permitting!), the bus, the high street... Or if you fancy joining an organised event, visit the Worldwide Knit in Public Day website or search online/local press for events in your area.

If you fancy regular knitting get-togethers, read Want to join a knitting group?
And if you like the idea of knitting as an event, keep an eye on the Craft channel. Shortly we'll be featuring a tiny hat pattern as part of the Innocent Big Knit campaign, where you knit little hats for Innocent drinks and 25p for each is donated to Age UK, the charity dedicated to helping older people.
As my celebration tomorrow, I'll be meeting a few mates, and adding a few stitches to the bracelet I'm knitting (made of wire, with beds - quite tough on the fingers) in my local. Do let us know what you got up to...
