Try this pretty Christmas tree-topper, made from a classic wooden clothes-peg
Make a Christmas fairy for your tree, complete with beaded wire wings and wand. Older children will love to help you with this simple project.
You will need
● wooden clothes peg
● paint or marker pens to draw on the face
● netting for the dress
● glue
● thin jewellery wire
● beads
● ribbon
Takes: 45 minutes
How to do it
Paint or draw on your fairy's face at the top of the peg. Once fully dry, gather the net fabric around the peg and glue in place.
Make the wings separately by bending the wire into individual wing shapes and then threading beads onto the wire.
Attach the wings to the main body of the peg by wrapping the end of the wire around it.
Conceal the top of the net and wire with a piece of ribbon, which you can tie in a bow at the back of the doll.
You can then embellish your fairy by adding a wand and coloured ribbon trims.
Wire, beads, netting and ribbon all from a selection at John Lewis. Baubles from a selection at Gisela Graham at Gardenarium
