Take a plain white Oxford pillowcase and trim it with a printed cotton fabric to match your decor
How to make
● Cut two strips of fabric 85cm x 9cm and two strips 60cm x 9cm. Press under 1cm on all long edges. Pin to edge of pillowcase, overlapping strips and turning under raw edges at corners. Stitch in place. See diagram below.
● To trim a basic housewife pillowcase with lace, allow 3.1m of 5cm wide lace and pin to outer edge of pillowcase, forming neat mitres at corners. Stitch in place.
