Sew an under-bed storage bag
Use pretty furnishing fabric to make a storage bag for spare bedding or out-of-season clothes
From 1.2m of 135cm-wide fabric cut two rectangles measuring 80cm x 50cm, two rectangles measuring 135cm x 10cm and one rectangle measuring 135cm x 17cm.
Neaten one long edge of the narrow rectangles.
Press 1.5cm turning onto wrong side and insert two 65cm zips with sliders at centre.
Pin and stitch to remaining long rectangle at short end. Neaten seam allowances and press open.
Pin to large rectangles – make sure corners and centres of rectangles align. Stitch ends of side panel together. Trim turnings. Stitch side to top and bottom. Neaten seam allowances.
Turn right-side out and press. Tie ribbon through both zip sliders.
